Our Top 5 Creative Spots To Visit On The Sunshine Coast

With Christmas just around the corner, we are beginning to dream of holidays, slowing down and enjoying time with our loved ones in the warm weather. The thought of easing into holiday mode has got us thinking of all those bucket list activities we haven't had time to do during the year.

With our head office based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, we are spoilt with options of inspiring things to do and places to visit. So to share the love, (and seeing as a lot of our customers holiday here!) we have put together a list of our favourite creative and stylish places on the Sunshine Coast to visit. These are all places we believe inspire creativity and will help make your holidays memorable.

The Pottery Studio

Tucked away in Nambour is the perfect place to kick off your relaxing holiday. The Pottery Studio is all about experiencing stillness, calming the mind, and enjoying the therapeutic benefits of having your hands covered in clay.

The Pottery Studio offers a range of different classes to suit all individuals, including Clay and Wine, Beginner Wheel Throwing, Glazing, and Hand-Building Sessions. We think this studio is the perfect place to inspire creativity and start your holidays in ultimate relaxation mode!

Pavilion

Interior and foodie lovers, this one is for you! If you’re looking for an amazing interior with stunning views to enjoy your next meal, then the Pavilion Mooloolaba is a must to visit. It is open early until late for your morning coffee, long lunches, dinner, and late-night cocktails.

The archways, stylish fit out and vista of the iconic Mooloolaba Beach inspire thoughts of European Summer and will immediately make you feel like you are on holiday. Our top picks are the pink Grapefruit Margarita and the delicious Gamberi Pizza.

Art School Co.

If you are ready to get in touch with your inner creativity then Art School Co. is for you. Founded and run by internationally-acclaimed fine artist and art teacher Jess LeClerc, the Art School Co. caters classes and workshops for people of every age and experience level.

The philosophy held by the talented team at Art School Co. is that all human beings are essentially creative and that living creatively is what helps us all feel most alive. They pride themselves on teaching their students techniques to create incredible art.

Whether you are an experienced artist or a complete beginner, looking to discover your creativity, the Art School Co. will give you a wonderful experience through one on one teaching and in a group environment.

Market Bistro

Market Bistro is a fabulous spot to enjoy stylish, casual dining. As the name suggests, it offers a bistro-style menu and comprises largely of house-made pasta, dry-aged meats, and fresh, local seafood. The perfect place to relax and enjoy some downtime with friends and family, enjoying great food and an extensive wine and cocktail menu.

A point of difference with Market Bistro is the unique concept of their Wine Store. Comprising largely of Australian and New Zealand wines, you can purchase wine at retail prices from the wine store and then enjoy it in the bistro for only a small corkage fee. This is one of our favourite spots for a celebratory dinner and we are sure it will become one of yours too!

Night Quarter

Holidays on the Sunshine Coast are not complete without a visit to Night Quarter. If you’re looking to be inspired, you must check out the lively, colourful night markets held every Friday and Saturday evening at Birtinya. Close your eyes and think of an array of global street food, live music, carnival games, fire shows, and street entertainers. Night Quarter is a feast for every sense and is the place to go for an evening of fun and new experiences. Whether you are looking for somewhere a bit different to meet up with friends, a great place to take the kids, or a fun date-night, Night Quarter, with its carnival atmosphere will meet your brief!

We hope these suggestions have helped inspire you with some ideas for your upcoming holidays. We are so grateful for all your support this year, and hope you have a wonderful Christmas, we look forward to seeing you in the new year!
